San Clemente, CA
Shapes of choice: Twinsman (AP), Sunstone & Bom Dia (Fish)
“Probably one of the well known alternative board brands in the surf industry. Album has done an incredible job of marketing in the last few years, sponsoring slick and stylish surfers from Asher Pacey to Victor Bernardo. Unfortunately, with solid marketing and an up and coming name also comes with a hefty price tag. Seems like these boards live up to their price.”
STPNK
San Diego, CA
Shapes of choice: Type II Fish, Turbo Fish, & Polyp
“Stepanek’s twin fin fish is undoubtedly the finest shape I’ve ever ridden. As a true modern-day surf artist, Stepanek handcrafts each board with a strong hydrodynamic understanding. His fish design allows for effortless transitions from rail to rail, while offering remarkable speed and stability. While he does not personally recommend surfing his fish’s in larger surf, I’ve enjoyed some pumping beach and point break days on his boards”
San Clemente, CA

“In my mind, Ashton Pickle is one of the most creative surfboard designers of the modern surf world. Whether it’s his willingness to explore asymmetrical shapes, unique channeled bottoms or random divets placed in the board, you’ll encounter design elements that you’ve never seen before. ”
Micah Beutz
Oceanside, CA

“If you want a fish for big days, your mindset is the same as Micah. Not only are his boards (particularly his fishes) designed to hold and perform on those all too few swell days, he usually puts a beautiful final touch with the glass design as well. You’re guaranteed to turn a few heads with one of Micah’s shapes.”
Byron Bay, New South Wales

“Probably one of the most iconic surfboard shapers of all time. Simon previously branded his shapes as Mother Of The Earth, but decided to rebrand in 2023. From short shapes to mid lengths, Simon creates absolutely astonishing works of art, that just fly on the water. When you see one of his boards under Torren Martyn’s feet, you’ll appreciate the beauty that his boards can bring out.”
